Modern Art Oxford - Artist in Residence

We have teamed up with Modern Art Oxford to establish an artist residency featuring Appau Junior Boakye-Yiadom.

Junior, the first recipient of the Donna Lynas Residency, will be working with three visual arts organizations: Modern Art Oxford, Wysing Arts Centre, Somerset House Studios, and South London Gallery from 2023 to 2026.

Javanese Gamelan

The Oxford Gamelan Society is one of Britain's foremost amateur gamelan groups. The society meets every Wednesday in term time under the direction of Pete Smith, to play on a heirloom gamelan, Kyai Madu Laras (Venerable Sweet Harmony) belonging to the Bate Collection of Musical Instruments.

The Gardens, Libraries and Museums of the University of Oxford contain some of the world's most significant collections. They provide wealth of knowledge and research curated and generated at the University.
